Babawale Bisiriyu Alogba, a chairmanship aspirant for Ikorodu Local Government, has demonstrated his commitment to the community’s well-being by distributing 500 Ramadan and Lenten food packs to residents, accompanied by cash support for them to celebrate the holiday period.

In his address, Alogba emphasized the importance of supporting vulnerable members of the community with food palliatives and financial assistance during the Ramadan period. He noted that it is wise to aid those in need, particularly during the holy month.

He also uses the opportunity to outline his comprehensive plans for the Ikorodu Local Government development, as he seeks to become the next chairman of the local government.

Alogba, a seasoned banker and chartered banker,(ACBI) in the UK, boasts an impressive educational background, having attended prestigious institutions such as Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), as well as a Master’s degree(MBA) from the same institution. Additionally, he earned a Master of Science (MSC) degree in International Banking and Finance from Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland. It is worthy to note that he is the only Nigerian that graduated in his class.

Alogba comes from a prominent family in Ikorodu. His father is from Ijomu, and his paternal grandfather was the first Jagun of Ijomu. His paternal grandmother is from the Onile-ere family in Ikorodu. This rich family heritage has instilled in Alogba a strong sense of community love and responsibility.



Alogba’s vision for Ikorodu’s development focuses on critical areas such as health, infrastructure, rural development, sports, education, security , cultural heritage , improved IGR, and employment. He has pledged to improve healthcare services and infrastructure, enhance road transportation, and public facilities, promote other efficient transportation systems, encourage youth development through sports, invest in quality education and educational infrastructure, and create job opportunities for the youth , vulnerable and unemployed. Also is his vision of inclusivity with persons with disabilities.



With his extensive experience in banking, having worked with top financial institutions like Polaris Bank and Unity Bank, Alogba is confident in his ability to manage people and finances in the Local Government,  having been a bank Branch Manager in the past where he manged a lot of staff under him , managed account of financial institutions, oil and gas, BDC, federal and state parastatal accounts e.t.c .



Babawale B.  Alogba is presently into Financial Consulting , Forensic Auditing,  Hospitality and Real Estate .


Alogba’s political background is equally impressive, having been a member of the local government executive within the division and a contestant for the House of Assembly. He served as the East Senatorial  cordinator, coordinating people in the East, and has been involved in various political activities within Ikorodu.

As Alogba seeks to become the next chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, he has urged the community to support his candidacy, ensuring that he can bring his vision for community development to life.

The people of Ikorodu will be watching closely as Alogba’s campaign gains momentum, and his plans for the community’s development are set to be a major talking point in the lead-up to the elections.
