
The Lagos State Government through the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area (LCDA), launched the Jigi Bola 2.0 initiative, aimed at providing free eye glasses to treat presbyopia in the community.
The program, which took place on March 25, 2025, offered free eye screening and provision of free eye glasses to community members aged 35 and above. The event was held at the Baale Omolaye Palace, Agbede Transformer.
Presbyopia is a common age-related condition that affects the ability to focus on close objects. The Jigi Bola 2.0 initiative seeks to address this issue by providing free eye glasses to those in need, thereby improving their quality of life.
