In a heartwarming display of generosity and compassion, the Yeyemeso Widow’s Foundation, led by Hon. Abolore Saka, distributed 600 essential food packs to residents of Ikorodu  Division in memory of Alhaja Balkeez Saka Nee Banjoko. The food packs, which included rice, garri, a carton of indomie, a keg of groundnut oil, and other cooking ingredients, were given to the beneficiaries during the holy month of Ramadan. The outreach, which marked the third edition, aimed to alleviate the suffering of the less privileged during this sacred period.

Hon. Abolore Saka, in his address, revealed that the initiative was a legacy left behind by his mother, Alhaja Balkeez Saka Nee Banjoko. He explained that his mother had instructed them to continue the outreach, which they have been doing for the past three years. Saka advised the beneficiaries to make good use of the food items and to always remember to give back to the community when they are able. He also encouraged them to pray for the foundation and its donors, asking that they be blessed and empowered to continue their good work.

Hon. Kolade Alabi, Chairman of Bariga LCDA and Chairman of Conference 57 Chairmen in Lagos State. Alabi commended the children of late Alhaja Balkeez for their laudable initiative, stating that it should serve as a model for others to remember their parents by reaching out to the needy. He emphasized the importance of giving back to the community, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.



Princess Rashidat Abiodun Adu, Executive Chairman of Iru Victoria Island, also praised the foundation’s efforts. She noted that when she arrived at the event, she saw a large quantity of food items for each individual. She described the outreach as very massive and prayed that Almighty Allah would bless the soul of Alhaja Balkeez and increase the children in wisdom and wealth, enabling them to continue the outreach annually. Adu also emphasized the importance of giving to the less privileged, especially during the sacred month of Ramadan, and noted that Allah teaches people to be kind to their neighbors.

The beneficiaries were overwhelmed with gratitude. Aina Oluwatoyin expressed her appreciation for the foundation’s generosity, saying that she had not expected to receive such a large quantity of food items. She prayed that God would continue to bless the foundation and children of Late Alhaja Balkeez.

Ilesanmi Tobiloba also thanked the organizers for the huge food essentials, stating that they would sustain his family for a long time.

Alhaja Shakirat appreciated the foundation for the food items, saying that they would help alleviate the difficulty of feeding her family. She prayed that God would continue to bless the foundation.

Adenike Adebayo, a mother of three, also benefited from the outreach. She expressed her gratitude for the blessing, saying that the food items would go a long way in feeding her family. She prayed that God would continue to bless the foundation.
