First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has commissioned a state-of-the-art orphanage and children’s home in Nasarawa State, emphasizing the importance of the well-being of all children, regardless of their background.

The 336-bed space home, built for Nana Berry Orphanage and Children’s Home, underscores the First Lady’s commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable children across the country. Senator Tinubu encouraged the caregivers to provide love and guidance, urging the children to dream big and cultivate compassion.

The facility, which sits on a 4,000 square meter land, features a 100-bed boys’ hostel, 100-bed girls’ hostel, staff quarters, classrooms, sick bays, and playgrounds. The First Lady proposed an innovative “smart farming” approach, using buckets to plant crops, to ensure the children’s needs are met.

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, represented by his deputy, Emmanuel Akabe, reiterated the state’s commitment to social welfare and partnership with Nana Berry to maintain the facility’s high standards.

The commissioning of the orphanage aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ensuring no one is left behind, especially children.
