The National Association of Ikorodu Division Students (NAIDS NATIONAL) recently facilitated the distribution of over 70 free JAMB forms to students across Ikorodu Division, thanks to the sponsorship of Ikorodu Division Resources Development Group (IDRDG) and Ikorodu Town Hall Management Board (ITHMB). This initiative, which took place from February 24th to 26th, aims to provide equal opportunities for aspiring students despite financial challenges.
The distribution of these free forms is a significant relief for many students who face financial constraints in registering for the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination. By covering the costs, this initiative seeks to reduce barriers to higher education and encourage academic excellence among the students of the Division.
Comr. Ogunbowale Olatayo Bodunrin, the President of NAIDS NATIONAL, expressed gratitude to the sponsors, highlighting how this intervention aligns with the mission of the Division national student body to foster educational development and social inclusion.
Ogunbowale reiterated that Ikorodu Division has made a lasting impact on the lives of its students, as evident in the vision and foresight of its leaders towards promoting higher education. He expressed appreciation to the sponsors, IDRDG and ITHMB, for their support and encouragement of the young ones across the division.
While some of the beneficiaries of the program had lost hope in registering for JAMB this year, joy filled their hearts upon receiving the free forms. They shared their excitement and appreciation, emphasizing how this support has renewed their hope for a brighter future.
The Director of Studies, Comr. Adisa Temilade, sent words of encouragement to the beneficiaries, urging them to make the most of this opportunity by preparing diligently for their JAMB examination, staying focused, and aiming for excellence.
Comr. Abdulsalam Tijani, President of one of the LCDA, noted that education remains a powerful tool for personal and societal growth. He charged the beneficiaries to stay committed to their studies, embrace discipline, and never lose sight of their goals. “With determination and effort, the doors of success will surely open,” he concluded.
