Barr. Rekiyah Olufunke Hassan, the Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has embarked on an ambitious infrastructural development project aimed at transforming the council area. In a bold move, Barr Hassan flagged off the simultaneous resurfacing and laying of asphalt on Tiwalade close opebi, Odunuga street opebi, and Bankole street in Oregun in the council area on Wednesday, February 19th.

The ongoing project is expected to bring new life to the affected communities, ease transportation, and enhance the overall aesthetic appeal of the environment. Just two days later, on Friday, February 21st, Barr Hassan visited Oregun community and flagged off two new projects: the resurfacing of Sadatu Street and Oremeta Street with paving stones and brand new drainage systems.

These projects, expected to be completed within five months, will further enhance the infrastructural development of the council area. During the visit, Barr Hassan paid homage to the Onigbongbo LCDA APC Party LGA Chairman, Alhaja Aminat Iyabode Akerele, who prayed for the chairperson, demonstrating her respect and appreciation.

Barr Hassan also met with residents’ representatives on Oremeta Street, including Akoogun Kola Onadipe, Mrs. Ajala, Mrs. Dairo, and Mrs. Akinubi. They discussed pressing issues affecting the street, and Akoogun later thanked Barr Hassan for keeping her promises, a testament to her commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people.
