Igbogbo-baiyeku LCDA Justice Forum (JF), a political caucus of All Progressives Congress (APC) under the leadership of Lagos GAC Member, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun is currently facing its fair share of political crisis over a controversial local government shadow election allegedly designed to impose a preferred aspirant, sidelining others in the process.

The news about the in-house political crisis which is currently trending across the division reportedly reached boiling point when Kunle Bakare, popularly known as Bakky, was excluded from the ballot. A staunch JF loyalist and son of a respected elder in the group, Bakky’s removal ignited protests at the venue of the shadow election. His supporters, led by Comrade Sheu Bana, disrupted the election proceedings, vowing that no vote would take place without Bakky’s reinstatement on the shadow election ballot papers.

“This process is an insult to our collective integrity,” fumed Bana. “Bakky has fulfilled all requirements and declared his intention in the presence of JF members. Excluding him is a blatant act of bias and a threat to our unity.”

Political observers warn that this internal rift could cost the Justice Forum its role as heir apparent to the IBLCDA number one(1) seat in the forthcoming local government elections. “The division within JF, if unresolved, could shatter its credibility, chances and weaken its future political influence,” one analyst remarked.

As the dust settles, the Justice Forum faces a defining moment: either bridge the divide and heal its wounds or risk losing its grip on the Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA’s political landscape. For now, all eyes remain fixed on whether peace can prevail in the face of such mounting tensions.
