Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has reiterated the country’s commitment to ensuring every child has access to quality education, regardless of their background. In a message commemorating the International Day of Education, Senator Oluremi Tinubu emphasized the transformative power of education and its potential to empower children to overcome challenges and build a better future.

She acknowledged the progress made in Nigeria’s education sector, but stressed the need for continued investment in the country’s future. She highlighted the importance of embracing technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), to enhance learning and foster critical thinking, creativity, and emotional intelligence.

The First Lady noted that the theme of this year’s International Day of Education, “AI and Education: Human Agency in an Automated World,” resonates with her vision for an inclusive educational curriculum that integrates AI literacy with core values and human compassion. She called on educators and policymakers to work together to create a world where every person has the opportunity to thrive.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s commitment to education is reflected in her efforts to promote inclusive education, skill development, and gender equity. Her initiatives, such as the Alternative High School for Girls, aim to provide young girls with a second chance to complete their education and acquire skills.
