
Prince Eniola Adeyemi, popularly known as “Wake-Up,” has once again made a significant impact in his community by hosting the 4th edition of the Wake Up Children’s Party in Ikorodu. The two-day event, which took place on 5 and 6th of January, 2025, was attended by over 1,000 children, who were treated to a fun-filled experience, complete with free clothing and gifts.
Residents and guests were treated to a thrilling surprise when the Afrobeat superstar, Patoranking, made an unexpected visit to their neighbourhood. The singer’s presence sent the crowd into a frenzy, with fans of all ages excitedly gathering to catch a glimpse of the music sensation.
Prince Eniola Adeyemi expressed his delight in celebrating the joy of giving and sharing with children and widows. He noted that it is a privilege to put smiles on their faces and make a difference in their lives.

He added that hosting children and widows during the festive season has been an annual tradition, aimed at ensuring they celebrate with joy and without hunger. This tradition is guided by a simple yet profound agenda: “No family should be hungry during the festive season.” This initiative not only brings happiness to the beneficiaries but also fosters a sense of community and social responsibility.
The event also featured the distribution of bags of rice and chicken to widows and their families, a gesture that was deeply appreciated by the beneficiaries. The party was attended by several prominent personalities, including Alhaji Seifudeen Oloworibi, the Chief Imam of Ikorodu Central Mosque; Chief Abolaji Omoshola-Allison, the Alapinni of Ikorodu; and Dr. Efosa Iyamu, Special Adviser to Senator Adams Oshiomhole.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt appreciation to Prince Eniola Adeyemi for his kindness and generosity. Mrs. Kikelomo Adeolu, a widow, said, “I am so grateful for this food pack. It will go a long way in feeding my family.” Another beneficiary, Mrs. Bukola Awosika, thanked Wake-Up for his thoughtfulness, saying, “This is a big surprise for me. I didn’t expect to receive such a generous gift.”
Mrs. Morenike Oseni, a mother of three, appreciated Prince Eniola Adeyemi for putting smiles on the faces of her children. “My children are so happy with the gifts they received. Thank you, Wake-Up, for making them happy,” she said.
Mr. Segun Ogunyemi, a father of two, also thanked Prince Eniola Adeyemi for his kindness, saying, “This is a great initiative. It shows that he cares about the well-being of the people in his community.”
