… Rep. Babajimi Benson received outstanding Award, for his development in Ikorodu Division.

Team Iniesta has emerged as the champion of the 2024 Ipakodo Allstars annual competition, yesterday 29th of December, which was sponsored by Ikorodu West LCDA. The thrilling finale saw Team Iniesta battle it out with Team Baresi, ending the match in a 1-1 draw, before ultimately claiming victory in a penalty shootout that ended 4-3.

The event attended by several dignitaries, including Rep. Babajimi Benson, member of the House of Representatives for Ikorodu federal constituency. Benson expressed his gratitude for the award, promising to continue delivering on his duties and bringing more dividends of democracy to Ikorodu Division. He also commended the Chairman of Ipakodo Allstars and Ikorodu West LCDA for their sponsorship of the competition, showing his appreciation for their efforts in promoting sports among youths in the community.

Hon. Sulaiman Kazeem, the Executive Chairman Ikorodu West LCDA, in his address, reiterated the Local Government’s commitment to promoting sports among youths in the community. He appreciated Benson’s presence and his continued developmental projects in Ikorodu federal constituency. Kazeem also applauded the Ipakodo Allstars for their steadfastness.

Prof. Fatai Abiodun Abatan, chairman of Ipakodo Allstars, thanked Rep. Benson for his consistent support and Hon. Sulaiman Kazeem for his yearly support to the youths of Ikorodu West LCDA. Abatan also commended the various committees for the outstanding organization of this year’s edition.

The event was made even more special with the presence of Pep C Foundation, which brought food packs in honor of their late father, Alhaji Kola Akinsanya. Other attendees included Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye, Hon. Enitan Jessica Oba Council Leader of Ikorodu West LCDA, Hon. Damilare Orimoloye SSA to Governor on sports, Comr. Japheth Odesanya, Hon. Adelani Okunade Supervisor for Youths, Hon. Rashidat Awodogan Supervisor for Tourism, Hon. Muyideen Yusuf Supervisor for Chieftancy, Hon. Yomi Shoderu SA on Education, and other cabinet members of Ikorodu West LCDA.
