In a bold move to promote environmental sustainability, the Lagos State Youth Parliament, led by Speaker Itunuoluwa Maria Soniregun, has embarked on a statewide clean-up project.

The initiative, was carried out across the three senatorial districts in lagos with the aim of supporting the lagos state government in achieving a cleaner and healthier lagos.

“We are committed to supporting the Lagos State government,” said Speaker Soniregun. “Our goal is to inspire a new generation of environmental leaders who will champion the cause of sustainability in Lagos State.”

The clean-up project was just one of several initiatives undertaken by the Lagos State Youth Parliament to promote environmental awareness and education.

“We believe that young people have a critical role to play in addressing environmental challenges,” said Hon. Mustapha Adelabu, Chairman house committee on waste management, lagos state youth parliament, By working together, we can create a more sustainable and environmentally conscious Lagos State.”

The Lagos State Youth Parliament’s efforts have been hailed as a model for youth-led environmental initiatives across Nigeria. As the organization continues to push the boundaries of environmental sustainability, one thing is clear: the future of Lagos State is in good hands.
