In a bid to ensure a safe and secure festive season, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Otunba-Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, convened a strategic meeting with the Leadership of the Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Security Architecture.

The meeting, which took place yesterday, brought together representatives from various security groups, including Gbalule, Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Agbekoya, and members of the Community Hunters.

During the meeting, Chairman Anomo emphasized the need for heightened vigilance and proactive surveillance across all communities within the LCDA. He charged the security personnel to ensure the safety of lives and property during the Yuletide season and beyond.

Anomo also placed special emphasis on the protection of critical public infrastructure, including electric poles and aluminum conductors, highlighting their vital role in the community’s development and well-being.

The Chairman condemned the incessant vandalization of electricity cables by saboteurs and urged the security personnel to collaborate with other local and established security outfits to prevent theft and vandalism.

In a show of commitment to the security team’s welfare, Anomo promised the provision of necessary support and incentives to bolster their efficiency. He also called on residents to cooperate with all security agencies by promptly reporting any unusual activities or suspicious individuals in their neighborhoods.
