In commemoration of International Anti-Corruption Day, Olufemi Ibine, a prominent community leader, has called on the people of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) to unite in the fight against corruption and ensure integrity in all aspects of community life.
He emphasized that corruption not only hampers progress but also undermines the trust and well-being of the community. “As we mark this important day globally, let us remind ourselves of the power we hold as individuals and as a community to reject corrupt practices and build a future based on fairness, transparency, and accountability,” Ibine said.
He urged citizens to be vigilant, report corrupt activities, and hold both public officials and private individuals accountable for their actions. Ibine further stressed that collective effort is necessary to ensure that Ejigbo LCDA remains a model of development, free from the shackles of corruption.
“Let us embrace a culture of honesty, integrity, and responsibility. Together, we can create a community where everyone thrives, and no one is left behind,” Ibine concluded.
The observance of International Anti-Corruption Day serves as a reminder to continue the global fight against corruption and its detrimental effects on development and justice.
