
Lagos State University received a generous donation of 12 solar lights and panels, On Tuesday, 26th November 2024, from Mr. Muhammed Lawal, Lead Coordinator of the South West Agricultural Intervention Program. As an alumnus of the university’s Department of Geography Education, Mr. Lawal was motivated to give back to his alma mater, which he credits with contributing significantly to his career growth.
During the handover ceremony, Mr. Lawal presented the solar lights and panels to the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello. He assured the university that more donations would be forthcoming and expressed his gratitude for the positive impact the institution has had on his life. Additionally, Mr. Lawal pledged to channel upcoming intervention benefits from the Ministry to the School of Agriculture, Epe Campus, and the university as a whole.
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM, who was represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Professor Adenike Boyo, in her response, extended her profound gratitude to Mr Muhammed Lawal for the thoughtful donation, which she said will enhance the illumination of the university community at night. She appreciated him for giving back to his alma mater and prayed that God would continue to bless him.
