The Coalition of Lagos Indigenous Youth has issued a strong warning to unscrupulous individuals impersonating the group to discredit Seyi Tinubu, son of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
A recent statement clarified that the earlier posts circulating did not originate from the coalition’s members or executives. “We wish to clearly state that the earlier post making rounds did not originate from the members or executives of the Coalition of Lagos Indigenous Youth,” the statement read.
The group went further to express their unwavering support for Seyi Tinubu, describing him as a “proud and industrious son of Lagos.” They declared that they stand firmly behind him and will back him should he express interest in running for the office of Governor of Lagos.
The coalition also issued a stern warning to faceless individuals, particularly Ibrahim Whyte and his cohorts, to cease blackmailing Seyi Tinubu while falsely impersonating their group. “We strongly caution the faceless Ibrahim Whyte and his cohorts to cease blackmailing Mr. Seyi Tinubu while falsely impersonating our group,” the statement emphasized.
Furthermore, the coalition vowed to take legal action should this act of defamation and impersonation persist. “Should this act of defamation and impersonation persist, we will be compelled to take legal action,” they warned.
The group found it astonishing that faceless individuals would desperately attempt to discredit Seyi Tinubu, who has not discussed any political aspirations with anyone or any group. “It is difficult to believe that in this age and time, some faceless group could desperately discredit the Trailblazer who at no point discussed political aspirations with any individual or group in such manner,” they noted.
In conclusion, the Coalition of Lagos Indigenous Youth reaffirmed Seyi Tinubu’s connection to Lagos, stating that the city remains his home, where he is welcomed as a critical player and indigenous resident. “Seyi Tinubu is one of us,” they declared.
