The Agboyi Students Union (ASU) held its maiden quiz competition on Thursday, 14th of November bringing together top pupils from primary schools for an exciting display of intellectual prowess.

Yesville Nursery and Primary School took home the top prize, securing a cash award of ₦50,000 and a branded school bag. Christ Arrival International School and Agboyi Primary School followed closely, claiming the first and second runner-up spots, respectively. Christ Arrival International School received ₦30,000 and a branded school bag, while Agboyi Primary School was awarded ₦20,000 and a branded school bag.

Comrade Rasaq Mubaraq, President of the Agboyi Students Union, emphasized the significance of the event. “Today, we gather not only to educate young minds but also to celebrate moments of intellectual exchange and discovery,” he said. Mubaraq stressed that the competition aimed to encourage academic excellence and broaden pupils’ horizons, acknowledging the dedication of teachers and expressing gratitude to contributors.

Pastor Owoyele Oluwafemi, MD of Swiftsense Branding Ltd, expressed his enthusiasm and admiration for the exceptional talents showcased by students in Agboyi at a recent competition. “I am very excited to be here to witness the remarkable achievements of the students in Agboyi,” he said.

Mr. Odulami Samuel, a teacher from Agboyi Nursery and Primary School, applauded the Agboyi Student Union for organizing the quiz competition, describing it as a “milestone” and “heartwarming experience” for the pupils.


He commended the union’s effort, emphasizing that the competition has set a high standard for pupils. “Judging by what they’ve organized today, it’s a welcome development.

Mr. Samuel’s school, Agboyi Primary School, emerged as one of the top performers, and he attributed their success to the union’s initiative. ” from the entire staff of Agboyi Primary School, we give kudos to the Student Union for coming up with such a laudable program.”

The event was graced by notable figures, including the Olu of Agboyi, represented by the Olu Agboyi-in-council, Pastor Owoyele Oluwafemi MD Swiftsense branding Ltd, Prince Oladega Kehinde, and CDA members also attended, demonstrating their support for education and community development.
