“We want our people to remember us for using our position to enable a lot of youths,” Ajala stated. “We assisted their parents by providing means to send them to tertiary institutions through our free GCE program, JAMB registration, and annual bursary award scheme.”

Ajala emphasized the establishment of two ICT centers, providing adequate and effective training for numerous youths. “We have a lot of people who are now ICT compliant,” he noted.

The Chairman unveiled plans for a multi-purpose block, which will serve as a destination for events, music recording, and research. “This facility will accommodate about 2,000 people and offer competitive rates,” he said. “By the time we finish, we intend to demolish all blocks from gates down to another gate to create a north parking space.”

Ajala highlighted the resource center within the block, catering to researchers, readers, and students. “We also have offices for all categories of staff and political office holders,” he added.

The Chairman reassured teachers and staff in local schools, promising end-of-year packages and direct transfers. “We deliberately and intentionally extend our hand of generosity to them, as they reside within our local council development area,” he explained.

Ajala reflected on lessons learned from past programs, emphasizing the importance of sustainable empowerment. “Our people tend to prefer immediate benefits rather than long-term empowerment,” he observed. “As a government, we must rethink our approach to ensure meaningful impact.”
