
Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has begun its 2025 budget retreat, emphasizing collaboration and transparency in the budget planning process.
The Mayoress of Ikosi Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, emphasized the importance of collaboration and transparency in the council’s budget planning process during the 2025 Budget Retreat held at AM 2 PM Hotel and Suite in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, 6th of November.
Addressing the gathering, Princess Bada highlighted the need to align the council’s vision and strategic goals with the THEME AGENDA PLUS of the Lagos State Government. She noted that the council operates in a dynamic environment, requiring effective resource harnessing to achieve sustainable development, enhanced infrastructure, and improved living standards for constituents.
Mayoress identified critical sectors for acceleration, including:
– Education_: Enhancing educational facilities and resources
– Healthcare: Improving healthcare services and infrastructure
– Infrastructure: Upgrading roads, transportation, and public facilities
– Security: Ensuring safety and security for all residents
Princess Bada stressed that acceleration must be accompanied by consolidation, unifying existing initiatives and resources to avoid redundancy and inefficiency. She emphasized the importance of community engagement and collaboration with local stakeholders to deliver a budget that meets immediate needs and lays the foundation for long-term development.
She urged participants to remain focused, visionary, and committed to transparency, accountability, and effective communication throughout the budget planning process. She commended the support and cooperation of the Legislative Council, Executive Committee, Management Committee, and other stakeholders.
She extended her gratitude to the Legislative, Executive, Management, and Staff for their unwavering support over the years. She also commended and appreciate Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his exceptional leadership and Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa for their invaluable support.
The Budget retreat drew top officials, including Executives, Legislators, Management, and Staffs of the LCDA.
