
The Anwar-Ul Islam Movement of Nigeria, Ikorodu Mission, recently marked its 68th anniversary with a grand celebration and award ceremony, the celebration held October 27, 2024, at the Zulqurnain and Rafat Ogunsanya Memorial Mosque in Ikorodu.

These individuals were recognized for their dedication and service to the community.
Alhaji (Prince) Jamiu Adio Saka, Mission Chairman, acknowledged the dedication and perseverance of the movement’s founding members, who established the mission in 1956.
The chairman paid tribute to pioneers like Late Alhaji Mudashiru Gbadamosi, Alhaji Mustapha Aluko, and Alhaji Pa D.B. Ayanlaja, who laid the foundation for the mission’s success in Ikorodu. He also recognized the tireless efforts of past leaders, including Alhaji Sanusi Enifeni, Alhaji Abdul Wahab Abiru, and Alhaji Rasaki Sholaja.
Over the years, the mission has grown, establishing additional divisions, including Ikorodu Division One, Ikorodu Division Two, Ipakodo Division, and others. Two more divisions are expected to be added by 2025.
He reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to Islamic principles, promoting peace, unity, and service to humanity. He urged members to strive for excellence and encouraged continued support for ongoing projects, including the proposed Islamic Activity Centre.

The movement has expanded to include multiple divisions, with two more expected to be added by 2025.
