The Office of the Special Adviser on Rural Development, led by Dr. Nurudeen Yekinni Agbaje, has taken a significant step towards improving access to clean water in rural areas. Recently, the office facilitated the provision of a Type A water scheme at Adeshola Akande Street in Ifako Ijaiye Local Government and a Vision Modified Type A water scheme at Onishon Community Development Association (CDA) in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government.
This development aligns with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES Plus Agenda, which prioritizes the provision of basic amenities in rural communities. Dr. Agbaje’s efforts demonstrate the state government’s commitment to ensuring that every part of the state is livable and economically viable.
Under Dr. Agbaje’s leadership, the Office of Rural Development has been actively engaging with community leaders and stakeholders to identify and address pressing needs. The provision of water schemes is expected to improve the health and well-being of residents, particularly in areas where access to clean water has been a challenge.
This initiative is part of the Lagos State Government’s broader efforts to develop rural communities.
