On Tuesday, October 29, the Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club and Ikorodu Diamond Leo Club embarked on a visionary project, providing free eye care services to residents of Odo-Kekere Community. The project benefited the aged, adults, and students, it also include a blood pressure check for adults.

The community outreach, held at Odo-Kekere Community High School, aimed to address vision-related issues and promote eye health. The Lions and Leo Clubs distributed glasses and offered eye exams, identifying and correcting vision problems among beneficiaries.

Principal of Odo-Kekere Community High School, Mrs Adeyemi Omotade expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Ikorodu Diamond Lions and Leo Club for their thoughtful gesture. “This project will greatly support our parents and students, particularly those with shortsightedness. It will make the classroom experience clearer and more engaging.”

The project underscores the clubs’ commitment to serving the community and improving the quality of life for residents. By providing essential eye care services, the Ikorodu Diamond Lions and Leo Clubs demonstrated their dedication to addressing pressing needs.

The Vision Project is part of the Lions Clubs International’s global initiative to combat vision impairment and promote eye health. Through such community-driven efforts, the Ikorodu Diamond Lions and Leo Clubs continue to make a positive impact in Ikorodu and beyond.
