Following the streamlined activities for consultative meeting with Stakeholders, spearheaded by the Ikorodu West LCDA, to be reached across various WARDs under the Local council development area.

Friday, 25th September 2024, The meeting continued at WARD A. As feedback from various CDA and CDC representatives were highlighted by the people to the Executive Chairman, From the urgent need of Infrastructural developments, Empowerment and adequate security of their various environments amidst other areas which were of importance to the residents of WARD A.

While, they collectively urge for fast track development in the New Fiscal year 2025 to enable them benefit from dividends of Democracy, they also commended the Chairman for the great work he has been doing in Ikorodu West LCDA, but as Oliver twist will always ask for more.

The Executive Chairman, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem emphasized the importance of community engagement and partnership in driving local development. He encouraged attendees to share their thoughts and views openly, stating that “this forum is not just for me to speak, it’s a chance for you to express your views”

He highlighted the need for collective ownership and partnership in community development. By working together and sharing ideas, he believes the community can meet the needs of all its residents. He emphasized the value of collaboration, saying “we are working together, sharing ideas, supporting one another”

During the forum, SKO also outlined his achievements in various areas, including:

– Infrastructural Development_: Enhancing community infrastructure to improve quality of life.
– Empowerment: Initiatives to empower residents and promote self-sufficiency.
– Education: Improving access to quality education for all.
– Human Development: Programs focused on personal growth and well-being, Among others.

Hon. Sulaimon expressed his sincere gratitude to attendees for their presence and commitment to the betterment of their local government.

Meanwhile, The Council Manager Mr. Nurudeen Olusola Tobun, in his speech, admonished the  participants and highlighted the benefits of working collectively with the council to achieve its target revenue and ensure speedy implementation of the Budget to the desires of the people.

A cross section of  stakeholders, including CDC and individuals CDA representatives, Spokesperson for the Community Youths, raised various concerns ranging from women empowerment, upskill of Youths, recreational centers and areas of security within the community.

Furthermore, The Oba Sekunmade Of IPakodo Kingdom, Oba Basiru Aremu Sotonwa appeal to all stakeholders to work collaboratively and pioneer sustainable development for the communities and partner with government of the day from the Federal to State and down to Local government Levels.
