In a groundbreaking move to improve healthcare outcomes for senior citizens in Kosofe Local Government Area, the Moyo Ogunlewe Empowerment Foundation is set to launch its free primary healthcare services initiative. This innovative program, spearheaded by Kosofe Local Government’s Executive Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, will provide door-to-door healthcare services to residents aged 60 and above.
The initiative is the culmination of a comprehensive tour of all 130 Community Development Associations (CDAs) in Kosofe, demonstrating the foundation’s commitment to understanding the unique needs of the community. By adopting a door-to-door approach, the foundation aims to revolutionize primary healthcare delivery and demonstrate Barr Moyo Ogunlewe’s commitment to grassroots development and public health enhancement.
The launch of the initiative is scheduled to take place on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM under Olojojo Bridge in Oworonsoki, Kosofe Local Government Area. Five Community Development Associations (CDAs) – Adebare, Itesiwaju, Ifesowapo, Okenla, and Oreofe – will be the initial beneficiaries of this program.
According to Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, the foundation’s goal is to provide accessible healthcare to vulnerable members of the community. “We recognize the challenges faced by our senior citizens in accessing quality healthcare. This initiative is designed to bridge that gap and ensure they receive the care they deserve.”
The Moyo Ogunlewe Empowerment Foundation’s efforts build upon previous collaborations between Kosofe Local Government and healthcare institutions. Recently, Access Bank sponsored the construction of a primary healthcare center in Oworonshoki, Lagos, showcasing the potential for public-private partnerships in improving community health outcomes.
As the program commences, residents of Kosofe Local Government Area can expect a significant improvement in healthcare delivery. The foundation’s commitment to grassroots development and public health enhancement is poised to make a lasting impact on the community.
The Moyo Ogunlewe Empowerment Foundation is a non-profit organization established by Kosofe Local Government’s Executive Chairman, Barrister Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe.
