The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa today, was a special guest at the First Quarter Worker’s Forum as free medical check up for staff as well as distribution of free drugs was done. The event also had the State President of National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE). Comrade Sewanu Sunday Ogunfowora in attendance.

In his address, the Council Boss enlightened the workers on the giant steps being taken by the Federal Government led-administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to restore the Country’s economy back to the trajectory of growth. While calling on the Civil workforce to be good ambassadors of Government, Hon. Olowa assured the workers of interesting times ahead as he emphatically told them that the request for a staff bus is granted which will cushion the effect of transportation.

Speaking further, Hon. Olowa acknowledged that health is wealth as his administration is strategizing on an improved health insurance package which will cater for the health of the workers as a healthy being is bound to be productive. While calling on workers to play their own role and be supportive, the Mayor assured them that special packages ahead of the festive season are in the offing but called for team work among workers as there will surely be a reward for productivity.

The State President of NULGE, Comrade Sewanu Sunday Ogunfowora appreciated Hon. Olowa for his tenacity and support for the Civil Servants. While addressing the workers to be faithful and diligent in their duties as that is the only path to divine prosperity, he used the moment to call on the entire workforce to support the administration as there is a silver lining in the clouds with better days ahead.

The Branch Chairman, Comrade Adaranijo Liafiz Lawal appreciated the Council Chairman particularly for the monthly welfare package of two million naira, palliatives, amongst other kind gestures for members of staff. He called on the workforce to enhance their productivity and eschew all forms of absenteeism in order to have a good reward.
