
Hon. Oladepo Tobi, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Special Duties, and Comr. Wahab Ibrahim, Senior Special Assistant to the Chairman of NANS Lagos State on Protocol, joined forces with Bariga LCDA to commemorate World Cleanup Day on September 21. This initiative aligns with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES+ Agenda, emphasizing environmental sustainability.
Residents, local organizations, and stakeholders came together to clean key areas in Bariga, promoting environmental stewardship and waste management. Comrade Wahab urged participants to maintain a clean environment, citing “cleanliness is next to Godliness.” The event not only beautified the community but also instilled a sense of pride and responsibility among residents.
The state Government has consistently emphasized the importance of good sanitation practices. Through initiatives like the Weekly Community Based Environmental Sanitation Advocacy campaign, Lagos aims to promote a culture of cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
