The Vice Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter (Lagos East) has charged the Youth of Ibeju-Lekki on the need to embrace the tech space citing the new job opportunities inherent in tech. He was speaking at the International Youth Day celebration put together by the Ibeju-Lekki Local Branch of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.

He further enjoined young people to persevere. He reminded the audience that “while the journey into tech and personal growth can be challenging, perseverance is key”. Stressing that “setbacks are part of the learning process. It’s easy to get discouraged, especially when resources or opportunities seem limited, but the real winners are those who keep pushing forward, learning, and adapting”.

He emphasized the importance of mentorship and knowledge transfer noting that “as we grow and gain skills in technology, it’s essential to mentor and guide others who are just beginning their journey”. He believed that part of sustainable development is ensuring that knowledge and opportunities are passed down, creating a culture of growth and support within our communities”.
