
The Oriwu Club of Ikorodu inducted 18 new members into its fold on Saturday, September 14th. The prestigious club, founded in 1973, is known for its commitment to community development and excellence.
The new members include HRM Oba Semiu Orimadegun Kasali, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe, Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, TPL Hakeem Adebayo Animashaun, Mr. Kamoru Olowosago and Hon. Babawale Bisiriyu Alogba.
Other inductees include Mr. Femi Adekoya Olukotun, Dr. Oluwaseun Temitayo Jayesimi, Alhaji Korede Shamsideen B. Kamoru, and Mr. Demola Adesina Shitta.
Also inducted were Mr. Kamoru Adeyemi Olutosin, Dr. Ismail Adesanya, Arc. Alaba Ogunsanya, Mr. Aderemi Amokomowo, Mr. Omotayo Babatunde Moshood, Mr. Olakitan Victor Odusanya, and Dr. Fatai Olateju Sonoki.
Prince Ganie Adegboyega Oluwole, President of Oriwu Club Ikorodu, highlighting its rich history and core values. Founded in 1973 by 23 visionary individuals, Oriwu Club has grown exponentially, now boasting almost 150 members.
Prince Oluwole emphasized the club’s rigorous selection process, ensuring only distinguished professionals who uphold its values are admitted. The induction ceremony marked the formal initiation of new members, distinguished in their respective fields.
The President stressed Oriwu Club’s commitment to tradition, equity, and community development, while maintaining its non-political and non-religious stance. He encouraged new members to contribute meaningfully, upholding the club’s values and serving as ambassadors in the community.
Oriwu Club Ikorodu has established itself as a premier club, celebrating 51 years of excellence. The induction ceremony reinforced its dedication to fostering a community of professionals who make a positive impact.
Ashipa Kaoli Olusanya, Vice President of the prestigious Oriwu Club, Congratulated the 18 new members inducted into the club, charging them to uphold its guiding principles and serve the community.
Olusanya emphasized the club’s commitment to community development and service. “As you join our noble club, I urge you to embrace our guiding aims and objectives, which focus on serving the community and Ikorodu Division at large.”
He encouraged the new members to actively participate in the club’s initiatives, saying, “Your contributions will help us make a meaningful impact in the lives of our people.”
Olusanya also commended the inductees for their achievements, stating, “Your induction is a testament to your excellence and dedication. We welcome you to our fold and look forward to working together to build a better community.”
Hon. Babawale Bisiriyu Alogba, praised the Oriwu Club, Ikorodu, for its enduring impact on his life and the community.
“Oriwu Club is a prominent club in Ikorodu, and my dad was one of the foundation members,” he said. “Growing up, we drew inspiration from him. He was deeply committed to the club, and that rubbed off on me.”
Alogba highlighted the club’s influence on his life, saying, “Meeting professionals and successful individuals within the club encouraged me to make a positive impact in society. Seeing them do great things motivated me to do more.”
As a philanthropist, Alogba follows in his father’s footsteps. “My dad was a philanthropist, and I’m proud to carry on that legacy,” he stated.
In his capacity as social secretary, Alogba emphasized the club’s focus on community development. “Our primary goal is to contribute to the betterment of the Ikorodu division as a whole.”
Alogba, who has joined the club since 2018, expressed delight at participating in the induction ceremony, saying, “I missed the last one, so I’m glad to be part of this one.”
In attendance were esteemed members, including some of the founding fathers, Oba Bashiru Sotonwa the Sekumade of Ipakodo Kingdom, Rep. Babajimi Benson and other eminent personalities who witnessed the induction of new members. The ceremony showcased the club’s enduring legacy and its continued relevance in promoting community development and excellence.
