In a landmark achievement, two students from Ibeju Senior Secondary School have secured scholarships to study Mechatronics Engineering and Mass Communication at Pan Atlantic University, thanks to the collaborative efforts of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and the university.

The students, Adeyemi Joshua Akorede and Joy Ugochi Samuel, are products of the weekend tutorial classes organized by the local government and Pan Atlantic University. This program has significantly improved the academic performances of public secondary school students in the area.

For the first time, six students from the weekend tutorial program have won scholarships to study at the prestigious university. The Ibeju-Lekki Local Government has pledged to support the students further by paying the remaining 2% of their tuition fees.

The Council Boss expressed gratitude to the Pan Atlantic University for their contribution to educational development in Ibeju-Lekki and urged the students to make the most of this opportunity.

This partnership, initiated by the Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government three years ago, has yielded remarkable results, aligning with the administration’s mission to connect people and resources for socio-economic prosperity.

The parent of one of the recipients, Mr. Adeyemi, thanked the government and the university for making it possible for his son to pursue his dream of acquiring university education.

Three more students are undergoing the screening process, and their details will be announced soon. This achievement underscores the positive impact of collaboration between local Government and educational institutions on the lives of young people.
