Just this afternoon, a mamount crowd of youths numbering over a thousand were seen gathered in Benin City, close to University of Benin.

The crowd drew the attention of our curious correspondent who engaged some of the youths in an interview only to discover that they are executive members of various youth organisations in Edo state principally coordinated by the Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria, ELFON ably led by a renowned national Youth Mobilizer, Godstime Samuel.

Executives of Prominent groups such as Edo Youth professionals, Youth Assembly of Nigeria, Obidient Youth Movement, Peter Obi Youth Vanguard,  Edo chapter of Arewa Youth Federation, Coalition of Edo student Unions, Progressive Youths of Edo, National Union of Edo state Students, Edo Ex-Agitators Front, Association of Ex-Political party Youth leaders, Young Edo Tricycle operators union, Catholic Youth Organisation, Edo Naira Bet Owner Association, etc were all present at the meeting.

Every effort to interview the chief-convener of the gathering; Godstime Samuel, met brick wall.

Following the secret independent interview, our correspondent was able to gather that every member the mamount crowd seen were all having their Permanent Voter Card (PVC) with them. Behold, we were able to identify some of the principal organisers of the Edo state 2million man march for Peter Obi as being part of those gathered in today’s meeting but they said Peter Obi’s case is different from the reason of their gathering as they are now interested in the individual that will govern Edo state better, not party. It was also established that these Youth leaders in their next meeting slated for next month will be choosing a candidate they will collectively endorse and support for the 2024 Edo state Governorship election.

The executives of each organisation were charged to get set with 300 members each for the next meeting.
