On Thursday, 22nd of August, the Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club embarked on a day of service, carrying out two impactful projects that showcased their dedication to supporting vulnerable members of society and empowering the next generation. Through their initiatives, the club made a tangible difference in the lives of numerous individuals, leaving a lasting impact on the community.

The club visited the Adisababa Public Health Centre, where they presented mothers and children with essential items such as diapers, toiletries, and refreshments. This gesture aimed to provide relief and support to vulnerable members of the community.

In the same day, the club organized a Youth Empowerment program at Unique Prella College, focusing on skill acquisition and entrepreneurship. The youths were trained in various skills, including gift box making, barbing, and bead making. This initiative aimed to equip young people with practical skills to enhance their employability and self-sufficiency.

Lion Funmi Dada, President of the Ikorodu Diamond Lions Club, expressed her satisfaction with the success of the projects. “We are committed to making a positive impact in our community,” she said. “Our projects are designed to address specific needs and provide support where it is most needed. We are proud to be making a difference in the lives of mothers, children, and young people.”
