As part of efforts to showcase the progress made by the administration, media practitioners were given a firsthand look at the various ongoing projects in Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Saturday, 24th of August. The visit provided an opportunity to assess the infrastructure development projects being executed by the Led Administration of Barr. Alabi Kolade David.

The tour covered a total of 17 roads, with various stages of completion. Notably, Morofolu Street and Amos Bakare Street have been fully completed, while Oke Street, Alfa Sanni Street, Olorunfunmi/Olohunesan Street (a bridge was constructed in between the 2 street which will take 6 months before usage), Awonubi Street, Ojelade Street, Kusa Street, Olohunkemi Street a 850 meters road, Adewunmi Street, Ayinke Street, and Tapa/Taiwo/Emmanuel/Onipe street are nearing completion.

Additionally, Ajidagan Street and Adijat Street, a long stretch street covering four streets, are currently ongoing. The Adijat Street project is particularly significant, as it will provide a critical link between several communities in Bariga LCDA.

The visit provided an opportunity for journalists to witness the progress made by the administration and to engage with officials on the vision for Bariga LCDA’s future development.

The investments made by Barr. Alabi’s administration are expected to significantly improve connectivity, reduce travel times, and boost the quality of life for residents in Bariga LCDA.

Mrs. Mafikuyomi, a resident of Moronfolu street, has praised the Alabi-led administration’s efforts in road infrastructure development, noting that the completion of the roads will enhance the community’s aesthetic appeal and boost economic activities. She expressed optimism that the improved road network will increase accessibility, leading to higher sales and revenue.

Mrs. Alliu, a resident of Olohunkemi street, also commended the Kolade Alabi good work. She acknowledged the positive impact that the completed roads will have on the community, including improved connectivity and enhanced economic opportunities.

Mr. Adeleye, a resident of Ayinke street, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Alabi-led administration for transforming the face of their community through strategic road infrastructure development. He celebrated the administration’s visionary leadership, acknowledging that the newly improved roads have brought a new lease of life to the neighborhood, making it a better place to live, work, and thrive.
