•Ijede Council boss to host inaugural edition to commemorate IYD

As part of the lined up programs of the national Youth Council of Nigeria Lagos State Chapter to commemorate the international youth day, the Lagos East Senatorial District is scheduled to hold a leadership advocacy program which is aimed to create an engagement avenue with government authorities in Lagos East.
The premier edition which is scheduled to debut in Ijede LCDA to be hosted by Hon Motunrayo Gbadebo -Alogba, the organizers said their choice of Ijede is significant owing to the fact that the Chairman is the youngest in Lagos East and her sterling performance in Ijede signifies the can do spirit of young people.
The Vice Chairman; Comr Asoro Abubakri Olatunji ACArb noted that although the program will go round the senatorial district including corporate bodies, Ijede is significant to use the Chairman’s success story as a point of contact to encourage young people not to give up on their dreams and aspirations and to further remind the public that the clamour for young people inclusion is still alive and must continue to be considered.
Furthermore, the program is expected to be a mentorship avenue and opportunity for youth of Lagos East to network, jaw jaw instead of war war on issues affecting young people while providing resounding solutions. Asoro further noted that the initiative is part of the youth council’s promise that engagement is better than taking to the street.
All the local branch structures of the youth council and VYOs in Lagos East are expected at the event and the Executive Chairman of Ijede is also to be decorated as the Grand Patron of the local branch on the said day
