
A high-level stakeholder meeting in Kastina State, led by Hon. Khadijat Kareem Omotayo, Personal Assistant to the President on Constituency Affairs, emphasized the crucial need for state-level initiatives to align with the federal government’s “Renewed Hope” Agenda.
The meeting, attended by Mallam Farouq Lawal, Acting Governor of Kastina State, and other key stakeholders, focused on fostering collaboration to drive socio-economic development, reduce poverty, and improve the quality of life for Kastina State residents.
Mallam Lawal reaffirmed Kastina State’s commitment to this vision, highlighting ongoing projects aimed at improving infrastructure, creating jobs, and enhancing security. He acknowledged that these efforts would be more impactful when integrated with federal policies.
The meeting explored strategies for youth empowerment and job creation, recognizing the potential of Kastina’s youthful population. By focusing on sectors like agriculture, technology, and small businesses, the state aims to reduce unemployment and foster innovation.
Security, crucial for development, was another priority. The stakeholders discussed the need to support federal security initiatives while promoting local peacebuilding efforts to maintain stability in the region.
The meeting concluded with resolutions to monitor constituency projects and ensure their alignment with the “Renewed Hope” agenda. The Acting Governor committed to providing regular progress updates, reflecting a shared determination to achieve the President’s vision.
