The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has commended the residents of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA for their peaceful conduct and commitment to not joining any protests. Instead, the community has focused on consultations and engagement with the government to improve their quality of life.

Anomo emphasized the critical importance of maintaining peace and order, regardless of circumstances. He noted that the benefits of constructive engagement with the government far outweigh the negative consequences of protests and the destruction of public facilities, which are regressive.

Akogun Anomo acknowledged the passion and dedication of both the young and older residents, praising their peaceful approach as a strong statement against violence and unrest.

“You like every other Lagosians have set a commendable example for Nigerians to follow. Your actions show that effective change can be achieved through peaceful means and government will not take this for granted,” he stated.

In closing, he reiterated the need for continued vigilance and peaceful expression, urging residents to be proactive in identifying and preventing the actions of saboteurs within the community to maintain the peaceful atmosphere currently being enjoyed.
