The South-South Youths in Lagos State, led by Tonye Iworibo, have publicly declared their rejection of any form of protest in the state. This decision was made after careful consideration and deliberation, citing the potential harm and damage to lives and properties.

Iworibo, the State Youth Leader, acknowledged the manipulations behind the planned nationwide protest and advised his fellow youths to disengage from such activities. He emphasized the genuine and sincere contributions of South-South youths to Lagos State’s development, highlighting their dedication and commitment.

Iworibo praised the Lagos State government, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for its efforts in addressing global challenges and ensuring citizens’ well-being. He quoted Martin Luther King Jr., saying, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that. Violence cannot drive out violence, only peace can do that.”

The South-South Youths in Lagos State have pledged to support the government in fixing the broken system and creating a better world for future generations. Iworibo concluded by expressing gratitude and blessings to the government, Governor Sanwo-Olu, and the people of Lagos State.
