
The Community Ambassador for Developmental Engagement Techniques (CADET) Initiative has appointed CDT. ABC Sobowale Opeoluwa as the Acting Deputy General Commander Administration & Finance. This is coming following the recommendation of the pioneer of that office, CDT. ABC Abolade Akintunde, and votes of confidence from other prominent stakeholders.
The appointment was contained in a statement signed by the General Commander in Council, Cdt. Brigade Commander S. Oluwa on Sunday, 28 July, saying Opeoluwa will now be responsible for overseeing administrative tasks and delegating responsibilities as necessary to support the organization’s progress.
The statement reads, “We are pleased to announce the appointment of CDT ABC SOBOWALE OPEOLUWA as the Acting Deputy General Commander Administration & Finance for CADET Initiative, effective immediately from July 28, 2024.
“In this role, CDT OPEOLUWA will be responsible for overseeing administrative tasks and delegating responsibilities as necessary to support the organization’s progress. The General Commander in Council will provide a detailed briefing on the current status and areas requiring immediate attention.
“We expect CDT OPEOLUWA to quickly acclimate to the role and provide regular, detailed reports on activities and developments.
“Please join us in congratulating CDT OPEOLUWA on this new appointment and wish him success in their new role.”
Appreciating the new appointment, Opeoluwa affirmed his readiness to enhance the organization’s operational efficacy and national impact.
“As I step into the role of Deputy General Commander for Administration and Finance, my foremost objective is to enhance the organization’s operational efficacy and national impact.
“My immediate focus will be on establishing a robust organizational presence across all 774 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the country. This expansion will ensure that our services and initiatives are accessible to every community, fostering greater inclusivity and local engagement.
To elevate the organization’s profile, I aim to highlight our positive contributions and achievements, positioning us prominently among relevant stakeholders. By showcasing our successes and reinforcing our commitment to excellence, we will strengthen our reputation and influence.
“Furthermore, I will work diligently to ensure our integration into national frameworks by fostering strong relationships with key parastatals and relevant agencies. Establishing these connections will facilitate smoother operations and enhanced cooperation across various sectors.
“Standardization of operating procedures will be another critical area of focus. By implementing clear, consistent protocols, we will improve efficiency and accountability within the organization. In conjunction with this, I will lead a comprehensive review of existing policies to ensure they align with our strategic goals and adapt to evolving needs.
“Together, these efforts will drive our mission forward, ensuring that the organization remains a pillar of effectiveness and relevance in the national landscape.” He said.
