Hon. Kayode Akanni Oguntunde, Chairmanship Aspirant Agboyi-Ketu LCDA took his campaign trail to the bustling Owode Spare Part market, where he met with members, leaders, and stakeholders to seek their support.

During the visit, Hon. Oguntunde and his team toured the Tyre section, engaging with youths and market leaders, and outlining his vision for the development of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.

Addressing the gathering, Hon. Oguntunde pleaded for their support, saying, “I have great plans for our community, and I believe that together, we can achieve remarkable things. I ask for your trust and vote to become the next Chairman of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA.”

As Hon. Oguntunde listened to the concerns of the market stakeholders, they poured out their hearts, expressing their fears and anxieties. “Please, sir, if you become our Chairman, don’t take our market away from us,” they begged. “This market is our only source of livelihood. We are afraid that the government might want to take it away from us, and we will be left with nothing.”

Hon. Oguntunde, visibly moved by their pleas, assured them that he understands their concerns and will do everything in his power to protect their interests. “I am a son of this soil, and I know how important this market is to our community,” he said. “I promise you, I will protect your livelihood, and I will work to ensure that this market is developed and improved, so that it can continue to thrive and provide for your families.”

The stakeholders, seemingly reassured by Hon. Oguntunde’s words, thanked him and pledged their support for his chairmanship bid.

He also used the opportunity to urge the market stakeholders to shun protests and give the Government a chance to address their concerns. “I know that things are tough, and it’s easy to get frustrated, but I implore you all to remain calm and peaceful,” he said. “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is working hard to put things in order, and we must give him the chance to do so.”

He emphasized that protests and violence would only lead to more suffering and hardship, and that dialogue and engagement were the best ways to achieve positive change. “Let us work together to build a better future for ourselves and our children,” he urged. “Let us give peace a chance, and let us support our leaders as they strive to make our country a better place for all of us.”
