
Mr. Damilola Emmanuel, General Manager of the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA), has successfully completed a one-year Public Sector Fellowship program in Rwanda. The program, which focused on building digital products and services to improve citizens’ lives, saw Mr. Emmanuel graduate on July 26th.
During the program, Mr. Emmanuel concentrated on the Cowry Card, a digital payment solution, and gained valuable knowledge in leadership and product management in the public sector. The fellowship took him to various countries, including Rwanda, Lagos, Zambia, Estonia, and back to Rwanda, providing a diverse and enriching experience.
He attributed his selection for the program to a mentor who recommended him, emphasizing the importance of building and nurturing relationships. He encouraged others to do the same, stating, “Please develop relationships and nurture them.”
