Hon. Ekundayo Alebiosu (Bush), Stakeholders Commend Moyosore Ogunlewe for the delivery of a state-of-the-art one-storey building housing 10 fully equipped classrooms at Mosafejo Primary School, Oworonshoki.

The newly commissioned building is a testament to the Ogunlewe-led administration in Kosofe Local Government’s unwavering commitment to Education, providing a conducive learning environment for pupils. The facility is equipped with modern educational standards, including 100 big and 100 small desks and benches, ensuring pupils’ comfort and ability to concentrate.

Hon. Ekundayo Alebiosu, Commissioner for Waterfront Lagos State, applauded the Chairman’s progress over the last three years, calling it “a work in progress” that has been “non-stop”. He expressed his admiration for the chairman’s efforts in various sectors, including Education, power, roads, and infrastructure.

Alebiosu attributed his own presence at the event to his happiness and pleasure with the chairman’s performance, saying “I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t pleased with what he’s doing”. He described the chairman as “excellent” and “amazing”, highlighting his ability to listen to the people’s requirements and deliver accordingly.

The commissioner specifically commended the chairman’s educational initiatives, noting that the newly built classrooms were a response to the people’s needs. He emphasized the importance of education as a tool for negotiation and preparation for the future, saying “nobody can stop them except for themselves”.


According to Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman Kosofe Local Government, he said the building symbolizes the administration’s unwavering commitment to education, providing a conducive learning environment for students. “Today, we are not just inaugurating a structure; we are opening doors to countless opportunities for our children and investing in the future of Kosofe Local Government Area,” he said.

He highlighted various initiatives undertaken by the local government to uplift education in Kosofe. These include the distribution of free JAMB/UTME forms to support tertiary education aspirations, a GCE support program for students retaking exams, free tutorial classes to enhance exam preparation, an adult education initiative to eliminate illiteracy, distribution of educational materials, including dictionaries, and health support for students through regular deworming exercises.

The commissioned building is equipped with modern educational standards, including 100 big and 100 small desks and benches, ensuring students’ comfort and ability to concentrate.

Ogunlewe emphasized that the building represents a physical manifestation of the local government’s promise to transform the educational landscape of Kosofe.

Ogunlewe expressed gratitude to stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and partners, reaffirming the local government’s vision to create centers of excellence in every school in Kosofe. “We have plans to replicate this success across other schools in Kosofe. Our vision is to see every school in our local government area transformed into a center of excellence,” he said.

The Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), Dr. Shittu, was ably represented, He Commended the Kosofe LG Chairman, saying, “I want to thank you for this edifice, you’re doing well, and it will in no way fail to shape the future.”

Dr. Shittu encouraged teachers to take ownership and protect the facility, ensuring its longevity. He also made a request to the Chairman, seeking the provision of a fire extinguisher for the school to guarantee the safety of students and staff.

Mr. Babatunde Shoneye, Education Secretary, Kosofe LGA, assured that the facility will be utilized effectively, leading to increased enrollment and improved academic performance.

Shoneye applauded the Chairman’s commitment to education and infrastructure development, citing the commissioning of over 30 roads as a testament to the administration’s dedication. He expressed gratitude for the Chairman’s support and acknowledged the impact of the facility on parents, teachers, and the pupils.

The Education Secretary emphasized the need for adequate security measures to protect the facility from vandalism and theft, requesting the Chairman’s assistance in providing a night guard to ensure the facility’s safety.

Mrs. Kemi, representative of the Head Teacher of Mosafejo Primary School appreciate the Chairman for this wonderful edifice.

She expressed gratitude to the Chairman, citing the end of borrowing classrooms from neighboring schools and the provision of a conducive learning environment for pupils.

In her closing remarks, Mrs. Kemi offered a heartfelt prayer, wishing the Chairman the enablement, courage, power, and financial resources needed to achieve even greater success in his administration.
