As part of his 3 years in office celebration, Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, distributed 8 transformers across the council area, addressing electricity challenges and boosting economic growth, and overall well-being in the community.

Ogunlewe highlighted his administration’s achievements, noting that they had commissioned 7 roads the previous day, with 3 more to be commissioned soon. He also announced plans to construct 11 more roads, currently road construction ongoing in Roju, expected to be completed by September. Furthermore, he promised to upgrade roads in Onabanjo, Alabi Owoyemi in Baba Oloworo street, and other areas.

He said the transformers will be distributed to Millennium Estate in Gbagada, Shosanya Estate, Bakare Bello Market, Harmony Estate, Ibrahim Onasokun, Oluwaseun in Oworoshoki, Odufa CDA in Oworoshoki, Oruba CDA in Ogudu, and others. This move aims to address electricity challenges and boost economic growth, education, and overall well-being.

Ogunlewe thanked Hon. Sanni Okanlawon and community leaders for their support, saying, “This project is a testament to what we can achieve when we work together.” He promised to continue working for the community, saying, “By God’s grace, I will do more for my community. We will do our best, not only for my party but also for the state.”

Hon. Sanni Okanlawon, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Kosofe Constituency 1, has praised the Chairman of Kosofe Local Government for his outstanding performance.

At an event, Okanlawon described the Chairman’s achievements as “unprecedented,” “legendary,” and a “life phenomenon.” He highlighted the Chairman’s impact in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and drainage, citing examples such as:

– Renovation of schools and providing JAMB forms and tutorial lessons for students
– Partnering with Access Bank to establish a Primary Healthcare Center (PHC) in Oworonshoki
– Constructing 36 roads, an unprecedented feat

Okanlawon commended the Chairman for judiciously utilizing taxpayers’ money, saying, “He deserves a pat on the back… He’s a performer, and I see all that he has done as an accomplishment.”

OKLA urged the people of Kosofe to reciprocate the Chairman’s efforts with their votes and continue to be civil and law-abiding. He expressed confidence that the Chairman would perform even better if given another term.

_KOSOFE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DONATES 8 NEW TRANSFORMERS TO BOOST ELECTRICITY SUPPLY_

In a significant move to enhance community infrastructure and improve the lives of citizens, the Kosofe Local Government has donated eight brand-new 500kVA transformers to Community Development Associations (CDAs) within the council area.

Hon. Taiwo Balogun, Supervisor for Works, Kosofe Local Government, described the occasion as a milestone in the council’s efforts to upgrade community infrastructure. He emphasized that the transformers will provide reliable electricity supply, promote healthy lifestyles, stimulate economic growth, and improve living conditions.

Balogun expressed gratitude to the local government administration, led by Chairman Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, for their unwavering support and commitment to community development. He also commended the CDA chairmen for their tireless efforts in identifying areas of need and collaborating with the council.

The donation, according to Balogun, demonstrates the administration’s dedication to fostering inclusive growth, achieving sustainable development goals, and enhancing service delivery. He urged the CDAs to continue working with the council to build a brighter future for the communities and make greater progress.

CDC Chairman, Mr. Segun Babatunde, praised the Chairman’s efforts, saying, “Today is a significant day in Kosofe as we witness what has never happened in our Local Government. We appreciate you for the good work you are doing, our able Chairman.”

Babatunde urged the beneficiary communities to take ownership of the transformers, noting that other communities are also eager to benefit from the initiative. He expressed confidence in the Chairman’s vision, saying, “The Chairman has the community at heart and is aiming high. Immediately after his tenure as Local Government Chairman, by God’s grace, he will be in a higher position.”

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Femi Ojo expressed gratitude for the transformative projects undertaken by the Chairman, saying, “We’ve not seen this kind of achievements in the local government since 1999.”

Ojo specifically highlighted the replacement of an outdated transformer in his area, which had been in use since the 80s, with a new one. He commended the chairman for a job well done, citing the unprecedented level of infrastructural development in the local government.

“Look at the number of roads that have been commissioned, the transformers, education, and so on,” Ojo said, emphasizing the chairman’s commitment to improving the lives of Kosofe residents.
