
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ikorodu West Local Branch, empowered over 100 youths on World Youth Skills Day with skills in Resin Arts, providing a platform for creative expression and skill development.
Comrade Anuoluwapo Taiwo, Coordinator, NYCN Ikorodu West LCDA, said, “We are thrilled to have successfully conducted this training, unlocking the potential of our youths. We believe that equipping them with skills like Resin Arts will help them become self-sufficient and contribute positively to the community.”
The training, held at the council secretariat, featured hands-on exercises, demonstrations, and interactive sessions. Participants showcased remarkable talent and enthusiasm, exceeding expectations.
The Coordinator expressed gratitude to their dedicated instructors, Grand Patron Hon. Olanrenwaju Sulaimon Kazeem, and other supporters for their unwavering support.
Lagos East NYCN Vice-Chairman, Comr. Asoro Abubakri Olatunji, applauded NYCN Ikorodu West Local Branch for Organising a skills acquisition program in celebration of World Youth Skills Day.
Olatunji highlights the program’s role in a statewide initiative engaging 50 volunteer organizations across Lagos, aiming to tackle youth unemployment and social issues through skills training.
He said Participants gained expertise in Resin Arts, enabling them to start businesses and become self-reliant. Olatunji commend the organizers, urging participants to leverage their new skills for job opportunities.
He acknowledged the demand for skilled individuals and promises continued support from NYCN for similar programs at the local and state levels.
