The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akinolu, has urged Nigerians to be patient with the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasizing the importance of prayer and patience. He made this statement during a visit from First Lady Oluremi Tinubu to his palace, where he commended her for her various interventions.

Oba Akinolu expressed his belief in President Tinubu’s goodwill towards the nation, citing his grassroots focus. He encouraged the youth to be closer to God and learn self-sufficiency, noting that while most Nigerian youth are hardworking, some are lazy and need to learn to be independent.

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, thanked the Oba for his support and assured him that President Tinubu will do his best for the country. She promised that the National Assembly will consider the Oba’s request for a special status for Lagos State, which was formerly the Federal Capital of Nigeria.

The visit ended with traditional blessings and prayers from the Oba of Lagos, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and support for the nation’s progress.
