
On July 4, 2024, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, Council Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government Area (LGA), conducted a thorough inspection of two primary schools in the community: Community Primary School, Abijo, and Roman Catholic Mission Primary School, Bogije.
Accompanied by key officials, including Hon. Temitope Sofwan Ogungbo, Supervisor of Education; Hon. Mutiu Saheed, Supervisor for Works and Infrastructure; and Hon. Alonge Fatai, Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure, the council chairman assessed the condition of the school buildings and surroundings.
During the inspection, several areas requiring urgent attention were identified, including:
1. Perimeter fence: The need for a secure boundary to ensure the safety of students and staff.
2. Water supply: A reliable source of clean water for the schools.
3. Total renovation: A comprehensive overhaul of the entire building to provide a conducive learning environment.
The council chairman’s visit demonstrates the local government’s commitment to improving the quality of education and infrastructure in the community.
