In a significant step towards addressing electrification issues and ensuring adequate power supply, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo, has fulfilled his promise to Government College, Ketu by presenting a brand new 200 KVA transformer to the school.

The school had previously written to and visited the Chairman about the challenge of blackout being experienced due to a faulty transformer, and Akogun Anomo had promised to look into the matter. Yesterday, he officially handed over the new transformer, emphasizing his administration’s commitment to enhancing the educational environment and overall development of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.

Akogun Anomo highlighted the crucial role a stable power supply plays in fostering academic excellence and creating a conducive learning atmosphere for students and staff. “The provision of this transformer is in line with our administration’s resolve to prioritize education and community development,” he stated. “We understand the importance of reliable electricity in our schools and communities, and we are committed to ensuring that our students have the best possible environment to thrive.”

The principals of both the Junior and Senior Schools of Government College, Ketu, represented by Director of Education and Vice Principal of the Senior School, Mr. Oyerinde A. Lookman, expressed their profound gratitude to Akogun Wale Anomo and his administration for their intervention. They noted that the new transformer would alleviate the power outage challenges that had previously hindered the school’s operations and academic activities.

“The donation of this transformer is a game-changer for us,” remarked Mr. Oyerinde. “It will significantly improve the learning conditions for our students and facilitate smoother administrative functions. We are deeply appreciative of the Chairman’s dedication to making Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA better.”
