Lara Narrow Way Education Foundation launched its flagship project, “Wisdom on Walls,” at Oriwu Model College in Ikorodu, in honor of the late Elder Mrs. Risikat Shobajo, a renowned educationist and founder of Lara Narrow Way Nursery and Primary School.
According to the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Adeola Adebisi Banjo, he said the project aims to guide and mentor students beyond the four walls of the classroom, using powerful speeches and quotes from refined individuals to inspire and assist them in becoming persons of value and worth.
Banjo revealed that the Lara Narrow Way Foundation was established to continue his late mother’s legacy in education, as she had dedicated her life to providing quality education to children, particularly the less privileged. He noted that the school she founded was more like a charity school, and that she had always wished for an educational foundation to be established in her name.
The “Wisdom on Walls” project is being flagged off at the school where Mrs. Shobajo finished from in 1968, as a way of giving back to the school and honoring her memory. The project has already had its first session and is currently having its second session, where mentors are speaking to the students on the value of education.
Banjo emphasized the importance of education, noting that while good fortune and riches may come through inheritance, education requires personal effort and dedication. He encouraged the students to seek education with all their might, as it is the key to becoming persons of value and worth.

Former special Adviser on education in Lagos State, Otunba Dr. Fatai Olukoga, commended the educational initiative for promoting reading and hard work among students. He emphasized the significance of practical application of knowledge and experience in achieving success, beyond academic qualifications.
