The Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Princess Samiat Bada, applauded the fellows of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (TEAM IMPACT) for their exceptional work in renovating the Isheri Primary Healthcare Center, Isheri, Lagos, under the Greater Health Project.

The comprehensive revitalization of the Isheri PHC includes a complete renovation, supply of solar inverters to ensure reliable access to power, human capacity development for the health workforce, and digitization of work processes and payments. This upgrade aims to enhance the quality of healthcare services provided to the community.

Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, in her address she emphasized the importance of quality healthcare as a fundamental right essential for a flourishing society. She highlighted how access to healthcare services not only ensures the well-being of families but also enables children to learn and the workforce to contribute meaningfully to community progress.

The re-commissioning of the Isheri Primary Healthcare Centre symbolizes a new phase in the community’s journey towards improved healthcare delivery. With upgraded facilities, modern equipment, and a dedicated healthcare team, the center is now well-equipped to offer comprehensive services to all residents.

Princess Samiat acknowledged the spirit of collaboration and determination that made this achievement possible, thanking the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy for their visionary leadership and support in realizing the project.

She also commended the healthcare workers for their dedication and compassion, recognizing them as the backbone of the healthcare system. Princess Samiat’s speech underscored the significance of this milestone in enhancing healthcare access and quality within the community.

Princess Samiat Bada highlighted the significance of prioritizing the health and welfare of Ikosi-Isheri residents during her recent address. She emphasized the administration’s commitment to investing in the health sector, specifically mentioning the ongoing development of the Ikosi-Isheri Modern Healthcare Centre.

In her speech, Princess Samiat expressed confidence in the upcoming completion of the healthcare center, promising that it would be exceptional. The Lagos State Head of Service, Mr. Bode Agoro, commended the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy for its “great project” aimed at promoting youth involvement in Governance. He also praised the Mayoress of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area (LCDA) for her “tireless” support for the initiative.

Agoro emphasized the importance of youth participation in Government, stating that “if you don’t join the Government, you won’t have a safe policy, a written policy.” He encouraged young people to get involved in public service, noting that “the future belongs to them” and that they are needed to “handle the system” and ensure continuity.

Agoro also acknowledged the Mayoress’s contributions to Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, saying that “she does a lot for the LCDA, much more than this, but we appreciate her support in doing this.” He expressed hope that initiatives like this will be promoted further, ensuring a brighter future for all.

Bode Agoro, commended Ms. Ayisat Agbaje-Okunade, the Executive Secretary of the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy, for her outstanding leadership and impact on the academy’s fellows.

He praised Agbaje-Okunade’s leadership, stating that “her exceptional leadership has not only steered the academy towards success but also instilled strong moral values and leadership skills in the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy Fellows.”
