
Engr. ADIGUN, Olamilekan Ibrahim, MNSE has officially declared his intention to run for the position of State Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, Lagos State Chapter, he’s currently the Coordinator of NYCN Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Branch.
In his declaration, Adigun emphasized his vision for a united and empowered youth community, focusing on professionalism, productivity, and strategic positioning, outlined in his ‘P3 Agenda.’ Central to his leadership approach is the promotion of professionalism within the council’s activities, ensuring accountability, proficiency, and effectiveness in all administrative actions.
With a goal to set high standards and establish the Lagos State Chapter as a beacon of excellence, Adigun aims to not only uplift the local branches and Affiliated Voluntary Youth Organizations but also to inspire other chapters nationwide.
His administration plans to foster entrepreneurial opportunities and engage youth in meaningful initiatives to drive growth and development within the community.
Adigun emphasized his commitment to creating entrepreneurial opportunities for members, promoting self-reliance, human capital development, and contributing to nation-building, especially in the economic sphere.
He highlighted the importance of inclusiveness in decision-making processes and initiatives to ensure the voices and interests of youth members are heard and considered.
Additionally, he outlined various programs like Monthly Breakfast Sessions, Youth and Governance Symposium, Youth merit awards ceremony, Inter-Cultural Exchange Scheme, Youth Sports Festival, Entrepreneurship Roundtable, Lagos Youth Tech Expo, and Talent hunt to cater to the needs of the youths in the state.
Adigun expressed his unwavering dedication to the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Lagos State Chapter, emphasizing the power of a united, professional, and productive youth community in driving transformative change.
He called for support and collaboration, highlighting the importance of collective efforts in shaping an inclusive and prosperous future for the youth of Lagos. Adigun also mentioned the potential inclusion of such efforts in corporate social responsibilities as they journey towards a brighter future for the youth of Lagos State.
