
Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, engaged with stakeholders regarding the construction of the Bamidele Laditi/Olowo Idikan road, measuring 383 meters in length and 7.3 meters in width.
Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, highlighted the significance of a crucial meeting aimed at addressing concerns, informing, sensitizing, and garnering support and cooperation.
He stated “The project, jointly funded by the Lagos State Government and the LCDA, plays a pivotal role in enhancing Lagos’s infrastructure, aligning with the city’s MEGA CITY aspirations. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, known as “Mr. Talk and Do, Mr. Sellable,” reiterated his dedication to inclusive governance and fair distribution of resources.
The 114 Roads Project, spanning all local government areas in Lagos, focuses on the Bamidele Laditi road to improve traffic flow, living standards, and economic activities for residents in Agric bus-stop, Fish Pond, Ishawo Ojokoro, Eyita, Sabo, and surrounding areas. The project’s contractor, Epath Project, a reputable engineering firm, will oversee the construction process.
Hon. Kazeem appealed to the community for support and understanding during the project, emphasizing the collective benefits of progress, growth, and development.
He concluded by saying “The bidding process for the project adhered to due process laws, ensuring transparency and fairness in the selection of contractors.”
Abayomi Obasomi, the project manager of Epart project Limited, shared Epart commitment to constructing the Bamidele Laditi/Olowo Idikan road, measuring 383 meters in length and 7.3 meters in width.
He emphasized the excavation of drainages and the construction of a mega-standard drainage system. He called on the community for their full support to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Additionally, he urged residents to keep children and youth at a safe distance from the construction equipment during the project to prevent any potential accidents or harm.
Hon. Adelaja Abimbola, the councilor representing Ward C, expressed her joy about the selection of the road for reconstruction. She appreciate the chairman for selecting her ward as one of the 144 roads to be constructed across the state.
She said The road’s improvement, including the installation of drainage systems and street lights, will not only address flood issues but also enhance economic activities in the area.
Mr. Raheem Idowu, the CDC Chairman of Ikorodu West, expressed his gratitude, stating, “I appreciate the Chairman, whenever we see anything wrong in Ikorodu West LCDA, we’ll walk into the chairman’s office to give him a report, and he swings into action immediately.”
He urged residents to cooperate with the engineers, emphasizing the importance of community involvement for the successful completion of projects.
