
Hon. Salau Rukayat Ibukun (Ajibike), the Supervisor for Women Affairs and Poverty Alleviation Ikorodu West LCDA, empowered over 100 women with vocational skills in Ikorodu West LCDA, which revolves around youths, the elderly, and people living with disabilities.
At the last day of the training, participants were awarded certificates in various vocations such as Avocado Oil production, Baby Oil making, Dettol production, Liquid Soap making, Hair Shampoo production, Hair Conditioner making, Perfume Oil production, Methylated Spirit production, Nail Polish remover production, and more.
The training involved rigorous sessions, with practical demonstrations on the second day, where all participants excelled. Wema Bank also collaborated by offering participants opportunities to access loans, enabling them to kickstart their businesses.
Hon. Salau Rukayat Ajibike encouraged the participants to utilize their newly acquired skills to become entrepreneurs and emphasized the importance of the partnership with Wema Bank, providing access to loans with lower interest rates compared to other financial options.
She wished the participants success in their chosen vocations and expressed gratitude to Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem, the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu West LCDA, for his supportive and fatherly role.
