
The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Deola Banjo has earlier today led the Council Manager, Mrs Oluranti Adeyemi and other officials of the LCDA to a meeting with the stakeholders of Idera Odogunyan and Agbede communities to finalize talks on the commencement of work on the road to be embarked on by Ikorodu North LCDA.
The meeting started at about 11am with the sole aim of briefing and seeking the support of the community on the seamless execution of the road project.
The Council Engineer, Builder Adeoye Kehinde intimated the stakeholders on the agreed specification with the contractor emphasizing that the community should hold the contractor to the agreed specifications.
The host Councillor, Honourable Abimbola Daramola thanked the Chairman for being a wonderful leader. Promising that the community would ensure the contractor has no problem while on site.
The Chairman in his remark thanked both communities for their patience after which he gave clarifications on the features of the road. The Chairman said the road would be interlocked due to the water-logged nature of the community and that the first phase of the road would be 460metres. He went further to announce that the road would come with both side drainages and street lights to the excitement of the seated guests.
The Chairman of the Agbede Joint CDA, Alhaji Hussein in his remark thanked the Chairman immensely for always having the good people of that axis in mind.
He noted that Banjoo has constantly been at the vanguard of ensuring the community enjoys better road network by first of all facilitating the link bridge and then again bringing a 460metre road to the community.
Baale Olosugbo and other residents of the community took turn to appreciate the Chairman for always providing leadership and having the interest of the Odogunyan-Agbede people in mind at all times.
The Council Manager, Mrs Oluranti Adeyemi gave the vote of thanks. The flag-off of the road would be done on Wednesday 15th May, 2024.
